Heme iron, derived from hemoglobin and myoglobin of animal food sources (meat, seafood, poultry), is the most easily absorbable form of iron🩸

Non-heme iron is derived from plants and fortified, processed foods and has much less bioavailability and therefore poor absorption rate 💩

Low iron, or iron deficiency in dogs, could showcase itself as pale gums, weight-loss, weakness and lethargy (among other things).

Feeding a high-protein, raw-food diet helps to eliminate this issue at hand. Our human grade meat is full of heme-iron (as above) and many other vital nutrients and vitamins needed for your dogs to thrive 🐶
